Barry Taylor is Chief Scientific Officer of Oncology and Senior Vice President for Immunology Discovery Research and External Innovation. While at Lilly, Barry has held roles of increasing responsibility and currently leads preclinical oncology research from project initiation and molecule creation through translational science for early and late-phase clinical assets.

Prior to joining Lilly, Barry was faculty at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he also served in a leadership role of the Center for Molecular Oncology and ran a multidisciplinary research laboratory focused on characterizing the genomic basis of human tumorigenesis, progression and response to therapy.
Barry is a cancer scientist, having received his Ph.D. in Physiology, Biophysics and Systems Biology from Cornell University, his M.S. in Bioinformatics from the University of Michigan, and a B.S. in Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego.
